Fresh Walkthroughs, Feature-Focused Layout, Collated Resource Catalog

Our education team’s recent rebrand from Liquidity Provider University (LPU) to THORChain University (TCU) tails the many feature rollouts that THORChain-proper has gifted the public over the past year and change. Our former name, LP University, found itself severely outdated, what with the likes of Streaming Swaps, Synthetic Assets, Savers Vaults, and Lending joining the previously slim ranks of user-based features (e.g. sym. & asym. LP’ing; swaps). These four notable additions to the THORChain repertoire necessitated that our team take action and not only update our name, but to undertake a complete overhaul of our educational approach.

Below, we will go through a brief summary of our efforts, all aimed at simplifying THORChain-learning.

THORChain University Revamp Rundown

The “Basics” Category

Our brand new “Basics” category — located towards the top of our server menu — provides fresh, current, dedicated introductions to both THORChain generally and its five primary user-forward features. These easily-digestible lessons serve as sound educational starting points for any unacquainted and curious community member.

The “6 Halls”

Completing the “Basics” category arrives the student to the door of the “6 Halls”. These Halls are six categories that, you guessed it, correspond exactly to those Basics channels, only expanded.

The 6 Halls’ simple, repetitive pattern cuts out the noise for optimal learning:

As the student will find, in each Hall resides one “Library” and one “Discussion” lounge, both dedicated to their topic. These brief, repetitive categories are designed to aid in learning retention and reduce the clutter around THORChain education. And, while “Discussions” is a fairly self-evident channel name, let’s see what’s in these libraries:

Much needed for perhaps the entirety of THORChain’s existence, each of these libraries contain — in codified, collated manner — ALL of the relevant resource material published on each of their respective topics.
